The name belongs to Tyre, the ancient Phoenician harbour whose traders first carried perfume west across the sea. The house continues that crossing.
FOR CENTURIES, THE HARBOUR OF TYRE SENT CEDAR, GLASS AND SCENTED OILS WEST ACROSS THE MEDITERRANEAN. THOSE ROUTES ENDED IN ITALY, WHERE PERFUMERY WAS LATER PERFECTED. DIMORA DI TIRO BEGINS WHERE THAT CROSSING BEGAN.
